Wearable Artifacts and Copper Electroforms
Specimens of real nature have been covered in copper, patinated, and sealed to preserve it forever. Each specimen is a one of a kind piece of decorative sculptural art. Copper Electroforming is a method of covering non-metallic objects with layers of copper. Each piece of nature is dried, coated in a conductive paint, and submerged in an electrified acid bath. While in the acid bath copper particles from a copper anode adhere to the specimen's surface over a period of days forming a hard copper shell.
