I am delighted to announce that I am now represented by the Nathaniel Hughson Art Gallery in Ontario Canada. I will be having my debut international solo exhibition there in August. I will be exhibiting my Selcouth series and will have several new pieces for the show.
Giant Hearts in San Francisco
The picture below is me standing on home plate of AT&T Park in San Francisco Yes, I do look out of place but I was there for a great reason.
I was attending the Hero’s & Hearts Luncheon for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation. I was invited to the luncheon fundraiser because I created a large heart to be auctioned off to benefit the foundation. I was happy to discover that Genentech purchased my heart. You can read all about the event on the post below this one.
A New Creative Path
Recently I began training to become a certified creativity coach. Creativity Coaches are similar to life coaches, but focus more specifically on creative work. They help creatives overcome the doubts, fears, anxieties, and worries that so often hinder the creative mind. They inspire you to think bigger and work more productively to develop your ideas and feelings into meaningful creative projects. I am excited about this new and challenging path in my career. I have always enjoyed helping people and this is a more formal way to do that.
10 Year Anniversary
Next month will be my 10th year participating in Silicon Valley Open Studios. This is one of my favorite events each year. I love the informal aspect of opening up my studio and sharing my workspace with everyone. I really enjoy talking with everyone who comes through and giving them a peak into my mind and creative process. This year I will have lots of new work including several encaustic pieces and altered book art. I will also be raffling off a piece of artwork and have live music. I really hope you can make it out, I would love to see you. All the details are below.
