I am thrilled to share that I am working with the wonderful cellist Freya Seeburger on an art and music collaboration for the SubZero festival this Friday and Saturday June 5th & 6th. I will be mingling her music with my art to bring a handful of little treasures to the festival. Inspired by the sounds of her music, and using her actual sheet music as well as some of the receipt tags from her installation and performance at last year’s festival, I am creating little glass jar dioramas. Each one-of-a-kind petite scene will also include a code to download and enjoy Freya’s beautiful music.
Be sure to look for her merch table at the festival to procure your very own Amidon / Seeburger collaboration piece.
You can hear her play during the SubZero festival with her group Trio Ménage at 7pm on the Secret garden Stage (San Salvador St. btwn South First & Market Streets) and you might spot me wandering around in my green dress supporting all of the incredibly talented people participating.
Here is a little sneak peek of a couple of the jars.
